Engine Rebuild Porsche 930

The team of Autobahn-Imports has made some video during the rebuild of a 930 engine. You can watch these videos here.

The videos don´t show all details of a engine rebuild, but it gives you an overview and some hints.

Part 1

• introduction
• remove chain adjuster

Part 2

• install new studs
• install piston rings
• put the pistons into the cylinders
• bring the cylinders in place and connect the piston with the piston rod

Part 3

• install the air blades on the cylinders
• remove the rockers
• remove the camshaft housing
• remove the camshaft

Part 4

• dismount the valves
• replace the valve stem seals
• mount the valves

Part 5

• bring the camshaft housing inplace

Part 6a

• mount the chain case
• put the camshaft in
• mount and adjust the sprocket

Part 6b

• install the hydraulic chain adjuster
• check the position of the camshafts and the crankshaft
• install the rockers

Valve Adjustment

Part 7a

• mount the valve cover
• mount the chain case cover
• install the oel pipe for the chain adjuster
• install the presilencer

Part 7b

• oel pipe check (for the chain adjuster)
• install the oel cooler

Part 8

• mount and connect of the air cooling parts
• assambly of diverse attachment parts
